10 days since I began a trip to Queensland — and not a blog in sight!
After setting out on the morning of Monday July 28, picking up James (Stiller)in Murray Bridge, I've sung at Mildura, Leeton, Dubbo, Alstonville, Laidley, Lockrose, Toowoomba, Dalby & Gatton. Met lots of great people, had many great musical moments, stayed with a lot of terrific families.
None better than the Stillers at Yamanto — Dave, Maree, Rachael & Nathan. (It doesn't hurt that James is David's dad!) It's been good to see both Rachael & Nathan doing serious painting.
The kids at Middle Park this morning made my day. They really sang, had a good go at everything. And the Preps, Grade 1 & 2 knocked me out. Knew a lot more songs than I could possibly hope for, sang with great gusto, & added a whole range of signs to most of the songs.
A great injection of good spirits for me.
